How to create, edit, delete and use tracker?

Purpose of this article

Teaches how to create, edit, delete and use tracker codes in the system.

Before you start

Gather institution-specific data, including:

  • Tracker name
    • Instruction

      Add a new tracker:

      • Log in as an administrator with the “trackers” permission.
      • Go to: Side menu > Marketing > Trackers.
      • Click "Add a new tracker".
      • Specify the name for the tracker.
      • Add additional text for clarification under "Notes" (Ex: Agency name)
      • If you are using tracker code for marketing purposes then keep the default content under "Reduction" and "Costs" fields.
      • Save changes
      • If you have fees that are set up to issue automatic invoices, then you can use this setting to configure a discount for applicants with this tracker. In order to activate a tracker as a promo code (Ex: reduce tuition fee) then please fill in the fields under “Reduction”. You can reduce the fee by percent or by the fixed sum. Please note that you can fill either the percentage field or the amount field, but not both. If the currency of the discount will not match the currency of the invoice, the discount will not be applied. In order to issue automatic invoices via fees, using tracker discounts, please navigate to Fees page and enable the option in necessary fee items. Please read more here.

        Edit or Delete Tracker:

        Editing the tracker’s name is impossible. It must be deleted and then replaced by creating a new one.

      • From: Side menu > Marketing > Trackers
      • Click to the Edit > Delete
      Expected outcome of the instruction

      The administrator will be able to track the single or group of applicants. Trackers can be used for different purposes, such as a:

      • Group the applicants to monitor the incoming leads in the system
      • Manage the agencies and their applicants
      • Monitor the incoming traffic from online marketing campaigns
      • Reduce fees
